A Kalispell Montana native, Rob McCaskill began training and competing in martial arts in 1985 after his family moved to Spokane Washington, where Mr. McCaskill won dozens of medals competing in Toushi-kan, Karate and Tae-kwon-do tournaments.
Rob McCaskill moved back to Kalispell Montana in 1989 and trained in Kenpo Karate for a couple years where he won many more titles. Mr. McCaskill began training in Muay Thai in 1991, and had the privilege to train under World champions legends and masters, Nick Blomgen, Jim Harrison, Bas Rutten, Matt Hume, Pat Miletich and Maurice Smith, to name a few. Mr. McCaskill has competed in 10 Muay Thai rules fights, that included two bare knuckle tournaments as well as 4 kickboxing bouts. Mr. McCaskill accumulated a record of 14-0, winning all 14 fights by KO.
Rob McCaskill was exposed to the art of Jiu-Jitsu, as so many others, by seeing Royce Gracie in the first UFC. In the mid-1990's Mr. McCaskill began training under Royce Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Purple Belt Instructor, Brett Corbett. In 1996 Mr. McCaskill traveled to Las Vegas to began training under Nova União Black Belt, original 'BJJ Dirty Dozen' legend, and multiple World Champion, John Lewis. Rob McCaskill continued to travel to train with some of the worlds best. Mr. McCaskill would do the bulk of his training in Las Vegas, Spokane, and Seattle. Mr. McCaskill would earn his Ju-Jitsu Black belt under Master Porter in 1998 and has has had the incredible honor to train with Jiu-Jitsu and Grappling legends such as, Sensei Porter, Master Andre Pederneiras, Master Pedro Sauer, Josh Barnett, Jeremy Horn, Erik Paulson, Matt Hume and John Lewis.
